DisplayPort 1.4 (hereinafter referred to as DP 1.4) supports 8K resolution, is the latest specification released by VESA. Compared with DP 1.2, DP 1.4 features the Display Stream Compression (DSC) function, and supports higher resolutions and frequency in bandwidth. In addition to DSC technology, the DP 1.4 involves high dynamic range data packet (HDR transport), and improves the performance of video output.
